Our Origins, Soldiers to Private Investigators
Sentry Private Investigators Ltd are an established private detective agency based in the Jewellery Quarter of Birmingham. Ben Jones, the founding director is a HM Forces (British Army, 2nd Battalion The Royal Green Jackets, 4th Battalion The Rifles) veteran with operational experience developed from combatant roles across some of the world's most highly conflicted regions. Since 2013, Ben has fully engaged within the private investigations industry by supporting people from both the private and corporate sectors. The positive values, standards and professionalism acquired from past military experiences are attributes that have naturally directed the way in which SPI operates as the successful private investigator firm it is today.

The investigations as listed on our Investigative Services page are achieved by means of advanced mobile surveillance techniques, technical surveillance operations and desktop Open-Source Intelligence Gathering (OSINT). We boast high success rates by aiming to deliver positive results and exceptional levels of customer service. There are no guarantees when it comes to private investigations and we always make this clear to our clientele from the offset (as every private investigator should). However, we only utilise the very best and trusted private detectives the industry has to offer in order to maximise our chances of success.

SPI operate with a trusted network of Birmingham private investigators, but we also extend our services across the West Midlands and East Midlands regions. Typically, our investigators have former backgrounds in the military, police, security and other government agencies. That being said, we have signed the Armed Forces Covenant (Bronze Awarded) with a pledge to support our serving and veteran military personnel by giving them first priority with work opportunities. It is the least we can do to show our support, and it gives our clientele the reassurance that true professionals will be investigating their case.
